Job Description

AMARA Hotel is looking for dedicated and detail-oriented Public Area Cleaners to ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and excellent appearance of all public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, spa, restaurants, and other guest facilities. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for all guests and visitors.


Job Overview

The Public Area Cleaner is responsible for the cleanliness, order, and proper upkeep of all guest-accessible areas in the hotel. This role plays a vital part in providing a positive first impression and ensuring guest comfort throughout their stay.


Main Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, restaurants, meeting rooms, spa areas, and outdoor spaces.

  • Ensure all public areas meet the hotel’s cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times.

  • Carry out deep cleaning tasks as scheduled or instructed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of public restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed.

  • Assist in setting up and maintaining cleanliness during special events and functions.

  • Promptly report any maintenance issues or damages to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

  • Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, following health and safety guidelines.

  • Support the Housekeeping team when needed, including helping in guest rooms during busy periods.

  • Respect guest privacy while working in public areas.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a cleaner, preferably in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.

  • Attention to detail and high cleaning standards.

  • Ability to handle cleaning equipment and chemicals properly and safely.

  • Good communication skills and a helpful attitude.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision.

  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties (standing, walking, lifting, bending).

  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

  • Basic knowledge of English is preferred; additional languages are a plus.
