AMARA Hotel is seeking motivated and reliable Housemen / Housekeeping Runners to support the housekeeping operations and ensure that guest rooms and public areas are always fully equipped, clean, and ready for guest use. This role is essential to the smooth functioning of the housekeeping department and the satisfaction of our guests.


Job Overview

The Houseman / Housekeeping Runner will assist the housekeeping team by providing supplies, linen, amenities, and general cleaning services in public areas and back-of-house areas. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, efficient, and ready to contribute to the high standards of the hotel.


Main Responsibilities

  • Assist Room Attendants by delivering linen, guest supplies, and amenities to guest floors and housekeeping stations.

  • Collect soiled linen and garbage from the floors and deliver it to the designated laundry or waste areas.

  • Support the cleaning and maintenance of public areas, including corridors, service areas, storerooms, and back-of-house areas.

  • Respond promptly to housekeeping requests for additional supplies or special services.

  • Assist with setting up extra beds, baby cots, and other guest requests as needed.

  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

  • Ensure that housekeeping storerooms and trolleys are kept clean, organized, and stocked.

  • Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.

  • Provide support during peak periods to other departments when necessary.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Physical stamina and ability to lift, move, and transport heavy items.

  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping procedures and safe handling of equipment.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.

  • Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Basic English is preferred; additional languages are an advantage.
