Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems. Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles.
- Attend to tables in the dining area.
- Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
- Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks. Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies.
- Restock bar with liquor and supplies.
- Transport supplies to the bar set-up area.
- Wash soiled glassware.
- Remove soiled wares from bar tops and tables, and place them in designated areas.
- Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
- Process all payment methods.
- Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
- Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
- Complete closing duties.
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating/coaching employees. Act as a role model and the first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
- Follow company safety and security policies, report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
- Support the team to reach common goals.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 23kg without assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or an entire work shift.
- Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using proper etiquette.
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

General Responsibilities:
- To attend any meeting or training sessions as required by management.
- To be conversant with:
a) The Hotel fire procedures
b) The Hotel security procedures
c) The Hotel facilities and attractions
d) The Hotel Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
e) Hotel operation standards and departmental procedures
f) Methods of payment accepted by the Company (cash handling staff only)
g) Current Licensing regulations (Food and Beverage Service department only) - To adhere to the company's policies and procedures for quality, environment and food safety.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent/Hotel & Catering Diploma is a plus
- 3+ years' experience in the same position or any similar serving experience in Hospitality Industry.
- Excellent Knowledge of English language
- Excellent Communication skills
- Knowledge of Hotel Software/PMS is a plus
- Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification
