Join our prestigious 5-star hotel and become part of a team that values creativity, excellence, and unforgettable culinary experiences. We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Continental Cook to join our kitchen team and help deliver exceptional dishes to our guests.
About the Role
As a Continental Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality continental cuisine that reflects the elegance and standards of our luxury hotel. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to create an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of continental dishes, ensuring they meet the hotel’s high culinary standards.
- Assist in the creation of new menu items and seasonal dishes to reflect contemporary culinary trends.
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented according to recipes and hotel specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and storage.
- Work as part of a team to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff and departments to fulfill special guest requests and dietary requirements.
- Help mentor and train junior kitchen staff and assist in their development.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
- Culinary degree or specialized training in continental cuisine is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of continental cooking techniques, attention to detail, and creativity in food preparation.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Greek or other languages is an advantage.
- Passionate about food, innovative, and committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
