Host/Hostess

SCOPE OF JOB

As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and present a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service, and high standards.

Reports to: Reception Manager and/or Manager on Duty

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcoming and greeting visitors and guests upon their arrival and departure.
• Escorting and seating customers in the dining and bar areas.
• Engaging with guests to ensure they are happy with the service.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Managing the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas.
• Providing accurate wait times and monitoring waiting lists.
• Maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
• Answering guests' and visitors' inquiries in a professional manner.
• Attending to special guest needs and requests.
• Ensuring HACCP and health & safety policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.
• Attending job-specific training sessions.
• Participating in team communication meetings.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Skills

• Fluent in Greek and English (mandatory).
• Excellent phone etiquette and restaurant/bar etiquette.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work shifts as needed.

Personality Characteristics

• Warm, engaging, and professional.
• Confident and well-presented.
• Able to work under pressure and multitask.
• Attention to detail.

Level of Experience

• Experience working as a Host/Hostess or Receptionist.
• High school diploma and/or hospitality certification.
