JOB PURPOSE
The Housekeeper / Floor Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation. The role includes supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting rooms, and coordinating with other departments to provide an exceptional guest experience in accordance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

• To inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and proper setup.

• To train, guide, and motivate housekeeping team members, ensuring adherence to hotel procedures and standards.

• To monitor and maintain housekeeping supplies and report inventory shortages.

• To handle guest requests and complaints professionally, ensuring swift resolution and guest satisfaction.

• To ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all housekeeping operations.

• To collaborate with the maintenance team to report and follow up on necessary repairs or improvements.

• To oversee laundry operations and ensure proper handling of linens and guest items.

• To conduct daily briefings and assign duties to housekeeping staff.

• To ensure all opening and closing procedures are followed according to hotel standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

1. Graduate of a hospitality-related secondary school or relevant vocational training.

2. Good knowledge of English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.

3. At least one year of experience in a similar supervisory role within housekeeping.

4. Strong leadership and organizational skills.

5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality service.

6. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

7. Pleasant and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.

8. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and health & safety regulations.

9. Ability to manage time effectively and delegate tasks accordingly.
