Job Purpose

The IT Assistant will support the IT department in maintaining and troubleshooting the hotel’s computer systems, networks, and hardware. They will ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure, helping to address technical issues and ensuring systems are running efficiently to support the hotel’s daily operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

✔ Provide technical support to hotel staff and guests, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
✔ Assist with the setup and maintenance of computer systems, networks, and other IT equipment.
✔ Monitor and maintain the hotel’s website, intranet, and software applications.
✔ Ensure that all hotel IT systems are functioning properly and in compliance with security protocols.
✔ Assist in managing the hotel’s internal communications network and internet services.
✔ Respond promptly to IT-related requests and maintain a high level of customer service.
✔ Install and configure new computer systems, equipment, and software.
✔ Assist with data backup and disaster recovery procedures.
✔ Maintain accurate records of IT issues, solutions, and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

✔ A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
✔ Previous experience in an IT support role is preferred.
✔ Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
✔ Must speak and write English well.
✔ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
✔ Good communication skills and the ability to assist staff with varying levels of technical knowledge.
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
