Job Purpose

The Receptionist will handle guest arrivals and departures and ensure the smooth running of the Reception in the most efficient and effective manner. They will deliver the highest possible standards of service to all guests, from their arrival until departure. Additionally, they will be proactive in maintaining and improving the department’s profitability in accordance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

✔ Understand who the customers are, both external (hotel guests) and internal (hotel employees), their expectations and needs, and establish and maintain relationships through service.
✔ Implement and participate in the hotel’s vision and objectives as described in the written procedures of the hotel.
✔ Seek and act on customer feedback at every opportunity and learn from complaints.
✔ Ensure all tasks, including opening and closing duties, are carried out according to the pre-set procedures.
✔ Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
✔ Perform duties with maximum efficiency and productivity, following the department’s induction and training program.
✔ Ask questions whenever necessary to ensure duties are carried out correctly.

Required Qualifications & Skills

 Graduate of a lyceum and a tertiary school of Hotel Management.
✔ At least one year’s previous experience in a similar position.
✔ Must speak and write English very well. Knowledge of at least one additional foreign language.
✔Very good communication skills.
✔ Pleasant and friendly personality, reliability, and politeness.
