St. Raphael Resort & Marina is seeking a talented and experienced Japanese Cook to join our culinary team. We are dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience by delivering authentic and high-quality Japanese cuisine.
Job Overview
The Japanese Cook will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of traditional and modern Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, ramen, and other specialties. He/she will ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for Japanese cuisine and attention to detail in both preparation and plating.
Main Responsibilities & Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, ramen, and teppanyaki.

Ensure high-quality food preparation, presentation, and taste consistency.

Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.

Monitor stock levels and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients, particularly fresh seafood.

Assist in menu development and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.

Work efficiently in a high-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Follow all kitchen policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Japanese Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or sushi bar.

Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, including sushi-making techniques, knife skills, and traditional cooking methods.

Experience in handling and preparing fresh seafood.

Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and proper handling of Japanese ingredients.

Fluency in Greek or English (additional languages are a plus).

EU passport holder (essential).
