Job Description

SCOPE OF JOB

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant while supervising the front-of-house team. The role involves organizing service flows to maximize guest satisfaction and employee engagement, ensuring that company standards and targets are consistently met.

Reports to:
Assistant Restaurant Manager / Restaurant Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all setup and opening procedures are followed in the restaurant and food pass areas.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with the bar and kitchen regarding stock levels and menu specials.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift briefings with the team.
  • Delegate tasks to team members and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Supervise the team during service hours to uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Handle billing, cash, card payments, vouchers, and complimentary orders.
  • Oversee all closing procedures to ensure smooth shutdown.
  • Provide a shift debrief to the Restaurant Manager after closing.
  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP, health, and safety policies.
  • Attend job-specific training and team meetings.

Key Requirements:

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Fluent in English and Greek.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong coaching and delegation abilities.
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety, Hygiene, and Licensing regulations.

Level of Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Previous waiting experience is required.
